Named Features are a core concept in UserIQ. These are either pages users can access or "events" (like clicking a button, tab or element) that you want to track. They are used to track adoption, in campaigns to track a goal or pushing a user to a page in your app.
If you need to wildcard * part of the URL because some of the URL is specific to account or user the named feature cannot be used for navigation. In this case, if you want to send users to this Named Feature you can insert the value if you are passing these in the Custom Variables, such as AccountID or UserID. For more information on wildcarding or inserting values (see here).
The recommended method for creating Named Features is from within your application using the UserIQ Admin Panel. To access the admin panel click the UserIQ bubble from within your web app (see here).
You can also create named features from within UserIQ. Click on the Intelligence menu and click Named Features. From this screen you can Add new features and edit or delete existing ones.
Starred Features allow the usage to be tracked for bar graphs by account and exporting data specific to those features. To star a feature, click the star to the right of the feature to make it black. Please star key pages or important features of your web app.
Once a feature is starred the data can be viewed in bar graph by account. From the menu click on Intelligence, All Accounts. From this page click the Feature Usage By Account button on the upper right of the screen.
You can segment the bar graph over a 30 day period by checking the additional Starred Features from the column on the right and adjusting the date ranges. Click the Export Data button on the top right to get a csv file of all of the accounts and starred feature data (you do not have to check any boxes for the export, it will include all features by default)
To assign a Named Feature from the UserIQ bubble see below (you must be logged into both UserIQ as an admin and your web app in the same browser)
