Tooltips are created from within YOUR web app. Log into both UserIQ and your web app in the same browser. Navigate to the page in your web app where you want to place the tooltip.
Click the UserIQ bubble on the bottom right corner of the screen.
The UserIQ sidebar will appear on the right side of the screen.
Click the Tooltips List button or if that button is not visible, click the CAMPAIGNS link at the top.
Click the Add Tooltip button
Provide a name and click Create.
Click the element on the screen that you would like to attach the tooltip. A series of ? will appear, click the ? where you would like the tooltip to appear.
Set the behavior of the tooltip from the admin panel to the right.
Click the Edit Content button to add the tooltip content. The content can be text, an image, video, etc., very similar to an announcement. When you have finished click the Save Content across the bottom of the window to close the Edit view.
The toggle mode determines how you want the user to interact with the tooltip. Click, requires the user to click on the ? to display the content, Hover will display the content if the user just mouses over the ?, while Always shows the content of the tooltip without any user interaction.
There is also an Animation option, this will display a radiating pulse around a dot if it's set to Yes.
When you have finished configuring the tooltip, click the Save (Disk) icon at the bottom, then click the Checkmark. A window will pop up in the middle of the screen, click the Stay Here button. The middle icon (the box) will archive the tooltip.
Switch to UserIQ to select the Audience or set the status of the Tooltip to Preview. From the menu click Campaigns, View Campaigns, then click the ToolTips button in the upper right side of the screen. Scroll down till you see the tooltip you created.
To select the audience, click the Edit link to the right, then click the Audience tab.
To change the status to Preview, click the Change Status drop down to the right and select Preview.
